Call on Your Congressional Representative to Recognize DSPs
DSPs play a vital role in helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live and work in their communities. Unfortunately, many DSPs face low wages and high turnover due to stagnant reimbursement rates. You can help change this! Urge Congress to support the bipartisan “Recognizing the Role of Direct Support Professionals Act.” This bill calls for the creation of a separate category for DSPs in the Standard Occupational Classification system, helping to address workforce challenges.
