Opportunity Partners’ support continues well after a job has been secured. Staff provides a wide range of support services, tailored to meet each employee’s needs. For long-term consumer and employer support, Opportunity Partners also provides Extended Employment.

Job Retention Skills Modules

  • Reporting to Work – Helps prepare for the first day of work with topics covering dressing appropriately for success, orientations, paperwork including compensation and benefits, introduction to the job, keys to work instructions, familiarization with the work environment, and more.
  • Being There On Time! – Teaches time management skills, planning transportation, finding and keeping reliable childcare, scheduling personal appointments, tools supporting being on time, and communicating absences to employers.
  • Communicating with Your Employer – Reviews the “how tos” on effective communication including understanding supervisor/employee roles, understanding employer expectations, appropriately conveying issues and concerns to supervisors, and more.
  • Self Management Topics – Addresses problem solving and self direction on a job.
  • Getting Along with Co-Workers – Includes knowing your co-workers expectations, being a team player, understanding diversity and work place culture, and more.
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service – Assists in building customer service skills, as well as dealing with difficult customers.
