Work Skills Flex Instructor

Position Title:           Work Skills Flex Instructor

Wage:                        $12.50 per hour

Hours:           Monday-Friday; Full Time

Location:   This position is located at our Koch Campus in Minnetonka.

Purpose: Opportunity Partners is looking for a Flex Instructor that will help provide instruction and experiences that help our adults with disabilities achieve their chosen goals. You will be flexing between working on our production floor and in our classrooms, teaching about work skills and productivity and assisting in putting those skills to use. If you are an enthusiastic and flexible individual who has a passion for helping others, we are looking for you!

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Instruct classes at Koch Campus and out in the community, striving to achieve personal development goals for each person that we serve
    • Incorporating individuals’ goals and outcomes into developmentally appropriate learning options classes
    • Follow action plans to achieve established goals and outcomes
    • Documenting daily progress for each person served
    • Adhering to daily schedule and budget
    • Following Prevention Plans to ensure community safety
    • Performing ongoing behavioral support as needed
  • Implement action plans in a production setting so that vocational outcomes are achieved
    • Organizing work stations for the people we serve based on their individual interests, abilities, and jobs available
    • Meeting job specifications for quantity, quality, and completion date for each job task assigned
    • Providing job training on new tasks according to individuals’ learning abilities
    • Maintain a clean work area
  • Participate as a team member
    • Follow all current policies and procedures for program operation
    • Participate in planning and coordinating of program schedules
  • Engage in training and development activities

Educational and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working with Autism or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of valid motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle or transport people in own vehicle

  • Working knowledge of community resources
  • Self directed
  • Money management and basic math skills
