Community Integration & Inclusion (CII)
To build greater independence in work, community or personal areas, this structured day program focuses on building skills like:
- Being on time
- Displaying proper attitudes
- Encouraging motivation and interest
- Memory compensation
- Keeping a schedule
- Maintaining boundaries
The classroom instruction is themed for individual growth in:
- Social Interaction
- Independence
- Wellness
- Work Skills
Added to the classroom are community involvement activities for active participation:
- Fitness Center
- Library
- Volunteering
- Coffee Shop
- Employment & Entertainment
- Community Tours
Having achieved goals in these areas, individuals will move forward to new opportunities that are independent of the group. These staff-supported activities will challenge individuals beyond basic classroom and community activities:
- Homework
- Independent study using a computer, text book or worksheets
- Leadership practice, like mentoring peers, leading a class or presenting a topic to the group
